About Global Family Rescue

Global Family Rescue is is a non-profit faith-based charitable organization passionately dedicated to bringing hope to families living in extreme poverty throughout the world. Our goal is to help these families progress from extreme poverty to self-sufficiency within three years, and to increase the economic strength and stability of their communities through project based initiatives focused on clean water, education, vocational skills and more.

Ben and Melody Pahlow founded Global Family Rescue in 2003 after learning more about the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda with a mission to seek to transform the world one family at a time. The organization opened in Rwanda in 15 villages and within 3 years the organization reached over 300 families with a three year sponsorship plan to bring each one to self sufficiency.

Global Family Rescue is a mission of love and committed to three life essentials:

- The gift of eternal life through sharing the gospel and a relationship with Jesus Christ.

- Immediate quality-of-life improvements through the provision of basic needs.

- Long-term quality-of-life improvements through education and mentoring.

Global Family Rescue has two staff members in the United States and 21 staff members in Africa.
